Overdraft Services

Forget to record a deposit or withdrawal? Overdrafts happen, but you do have options. Bank of Zachary offers many services to help avoid overdrafts or declined transactions.

Overdraft Protection

Connect your Bank of Zachary accounts together to protect against those unexpected situations. Funds will be transferred from your designated Bank of Zachary account in $100.00 increments. These transfers occur when your account becomes overdrawn from writing a check, ATM withdrawals, or any other type of payment authorizations. Each transfer incurs a fee of $7.50.

Overdraft Privilege

If your account has insufficient available funds and you attempt to make a purchase, Overdraft Privilege may cover that transaction and related fees up to your Overdraft Privilege limit. Overdraft privilege is not a line of credit. However, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to the limit of your overdraft privilege and the amount of the overdraft fee.

Check Plus+ Personal Line of Credit

Receive the funds you need for a special purchase and protect yourself from an overdraft with the Check Plus+ Personal Line of Credit account. Tied directly to your checking account, this credit line does not cost you anything unless you use it. If used, you will pay a finance charge only on the outstanding balance of your loan.

Features

Your checking account balance will be increased in increments of $100 up to your approved credit limit. The payment will be deducted from your checking account on the first business day following your statement cycle every month. The payment amount will be 3% of the outstanding balance, with a minimum payment of $25 or the balance of your account if the balance is less than $25. The annual percentage rate is 12.5%. Details regarding your payment will be included in your monthly statements.

Fees

There is a one-time fee of $5 to purchase a card. You are subject to fees when using the telephone options to manage your account as well as a $2 convenience fee when using an ATM that does not belong to Bank of Zachary. Avoid additional fees by using the managing your account over the internet and by using the cash back option when you are not near a Bank of Zachary ATM.
