Community banks take pride in establishing relationships with their customers, and the Bank of Zachary is no exception. Nothing pleases us more than developing generations of loyal customers, and serving our friends and neighbors inside our banking offices.

Times, however, have changed. Like so many other aspects of our daily life, people expect to be able to satisfy their essential banking needs by electronic means – without having to darken the branch bank door.

We confess that we miss the face-to-face interaction we have enjoyed for more than a century, but the Bank of Zachary has taken a proactive approach to developing a virtual branch with a robust menu of electronic banking alternatives. Our objective is to provide these e-services without sacrificing first class customer service.

Our electronic transformation began with the development of a highly interactive website, which we introduced two years ago. Pleasing to the eye, the website is easy to navigate and contains quick links to nearly all the information a current or prospective customer will need. Check it out:

Last year we introduced a responsive design of the website to provide increased functionality on smartphones and tablets. Not merely a reduced version of the desktop website, the responsive design feature re-formats our content for a better user experience regardless of the device.

Personal checking and savings accounts can be opened online, either at a desktop or from a mobile device. Applications for a mortgage or a personal loan are also available online.   Online Chat is available if the applicant needs assistance.

Online banking allows our customers with internet access to do banking from anywhere. This includes the ability to make payments through our Bill Pay system, as well as the ability to deposit checks by taking a picture from a smart phone or tablet.

Account holders may elect to set up a number of instant alerts, including an instant debit alert delivered by text message every time a debit card is used. Not only is this a great tool to assist with money management, but debit alerts also help prevent fraud.

Additional features of our website include our blog “The View from Main Street”, an assortment of financial calculators, and an online library of financial advice in our Education Center. We also include information about our more than a century of service to our community, our history, and our philosophy of doing business that we call “The Bank of Zachary Way”.

We are also active on social media sites, with a Bank of Zachary Facebook page and @BankofZachary Twitter feed. Social media allows for real-time messaging and direct two-way communication.

Yes, times change and community banks like the Bank of Zachary must change with them. One thing we will never change is our commitment to our community and our customers, but it is possible to have high tech without losing the high touch personal service you expect from a hometown financial institution.
